This being the core activity everything else orbits around it.
A rehabilitation plan is in place for all the 1591 PWDs in the area of operation.

PCTC maintains a data base of all pregnant women and expected date of delivery in close collaboration with integrated child development services (ICDS).

In this process, children with disabilities(CWDs) can be identified as early as one month through our new born screening clinics.

  • Integration of differently able children in ICDS centers / school.

  • Vocational training.
  • Parent's training.

  • Self help groups.

We work in collaboration with government to implement:

  • National Program for the Rehabilitation for People with Disabilities (NPRPD).

  • Integrated education for CWDs through "SSA"- 'Education for all' program.

PCTC is also a member of :
  • Interface on Disability (ID) Network of Tamil Nadu, to promote early identification and early intervention for children with disabilities.
