ORGANIC FARM

The green revolution in India, although it brought self-sufficiency in food production, the use of fertilizers and pesticides have done great harm to the land and the environment.

PCTC has a small peace of land (15 acres) as a model farm, where organic farming is being practiced.
It is also being used for the neighbouring farmers as a place of demonstration in innovative farming practices.

6 acres of the farm land has fruit trees. The rest of the land is used to cultivate paddy, sugar cane, seri culture.
There is also a cane crushing unit for the production of jagary.

This farm will be utilized as a training place, for adolescent people with disabilities, in agriculture.
Adolescent disabled people will be trained in the farm in cultivation, as well as taking care of animals (sheep, cows, hens…)

In the longer run the farm should generate income to support the maintenance of the center.
